Double weave movement

The movement is set up with one set of boards on each table as in a standard Mitchell.

Pairs are numbered the same as in any Mitchell.

The pair move instructions are as follows

• N-S pairs are stationary,
• Odd numbered E-W pairs move up one table,
• Even numbered E-W pairs move down one table.

The board move instructions are as follows

• In the first half, odd board sets move down one table and even board sets move up one table.
• At the half-way stage, after half the rounds, all boards move up half the tables.
• In the second half, odd board sets move up one table and even board sets move down one table.

So long as the boards are moved by the E-W pairs the procedure is simple. The E-W pairs move the boards in the opposite direction to which they are moving.

If the tables are set up with two rows then the boards can be swapped between the two rows after half way.
